Wow, hard to believe that it’s Tuesday already. Coming off the extended holiday weekend and, more importantly, a Minnesota Lynx win, fans have had multiple reasons to celebrate throughout the state of Minnesota. Last week started with an award. Lynx guard Lindsay Whalen was named the Western Conference Player of the Week last week (the award was given last week but is recognized for Whalen’s play two weeks ago, just fyi) and such an award was then followed up by a Lynx 82-57 victory over the Seattle Storm on Friday night. The Lynx now sit at 8-2 on the season and are in sole possession of first place in the Western Conference. Oh, and Lynx forward Maya Moore ranked third in All-Star balloting early returns; a ranking that could definitely be higher, I’m just saying. With so many great things surrounding the Lynx team right now, fans have once again taken to Twitter to voice their happiness and I have once again sought out the best of said happiness.
