It’s officially crunch time in the 2019 WNBA season and nothing about the postseason is clear yet. We’re tracking every game, keeping a close eye on the standings and giving you day-to-day updates on how everything else happening around the league impacts the Lynx.

Lynx Standing: Sitting in the No. 8 seed with a record of 10-11. Two games ahead of the No. 9 Liberty, one game behind the No. 7 Storm.

Clinched: No teams
Eliminated: No teams

Last Night’s Games:

Washington Returns To Form

There was only game, but it was an important one. The Mystics were obviously disappointed by their Sunday performance against the Mercury, but rebounded in a big way, beating the Aces 99-70 on the second night of a back-to-back. It’s the type of gutsy road win that a team with championship aspirations need, and the Mystics have to be very happy with their performance. It was a strange game, starting at the beginning of the third quarter as the original contest was cut short due to the July earthquake that hit the West Coast, but it counts just as much as any other game and the Mystics earned the win.

On the flip side, the Aces would certainly like to have that one back. By losing to the Mystics the Aces also lose the tiebreaker with Washington—something that could come back to bite them down the stretch. The Mystics now control their own destiny in terms of holding onto the No. 2 seed—and the two-round bye that comes with it.
