In honor of Sylvia Fowles being named the WNBA’s Most Valuable Player on Thursday, we take a look back at the top five games from her MVP season in 2017.

5. June 23 vs. Washington Mystics

In the 93-76 win over the Washington Mystics at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Fowles finished with a stellar performance of 21 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks, two assists and two steals.

Her 15 rebounds tied a season-high this season. Fowles finished shooting 8-for-10 from the field in that game and went 5-of-6 from the free throw line in 35 minutes of action.

4. Sept. 1 vs. Chicago Sky

In the 110-87 win over the Chicago Sky at Xcel Energy Center, Fowles went off for 27 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals in the victory.

Her five assists tied both a season-high and a career-high, and was perhaps her most impressive passing performance of the season.

Fowles shot a nearly-perfect 12-of-13 from the field in that game and shot 3-of-4 from the free throw line in 31 minutes on the floor.

3. July 28 at Atlanta Dream

In the 90-80 win over the Atlanta Dream at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta, Fowles tallied 29 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two assists.

Fowles also finished shooting 11-of-15 from the field and shot a stellar 7-of-10 from the free throw line in 34 minutes of play.

2. July 30 vs. Seattle Storm

In the 93-82 win over the Seattle Storm at Xcel Energy Center, Fowles went off for 29 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks in the game.

She also shot 11-of-14 from the field in the game and shot a nearly-perfect 7-for-8 from the free throw line in 37 minutes.

1. June 11 at Dallas Wings

In a 91-74 win over the Dallas Wings at College Park Center in Arlington, Fowles finished with a season-high 30 points in 28 minutes to lead Minnesota to another victory.

Fowles tallied nine rebounds and two assists and shot 14-of-19 from the field and went 2-for-4 from the free throw line.

Her 30-point performance was a highest point total among Lynx players during the 2017 regular season.
