Minnesota Lynx Sign Cecilia Zandalasini

Zandalasini returns to Minnesota after previously playing in the 2017 and 2018 seasons with the Lynx 

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed forward Cecilia Zandalasini (cheh-CHEE-lee-uh zan-duh-luh-SEE-nee) to a training camp contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released. 

Zandalasini, 6-1, is currently in her third season with Italian club Virtus Segafredo Bologna, where she’s tallying 11.4 points (48.1%), 3.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 23 LBF games (24.9 minutes per night). Across 14 EuroLeague starts this season, Zandalasini posted averages of 13.4 points (44.2%), 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 30.9 minutes per game. 

The 28-year-old Broni, Italy, native also plays for her country’s Senior National Team, most recently in last November’s 2025 FIBA EuroBasket Qualifiers in which she helped Italy to victories over Greece (15 points, nine rebounds, four assists) and Germany (16 points, four rebounds, two assists). 

Zandalasini previously played for the Lynx in 2017 and 2018, and in 32 regular season games she averaged 5.3 points (40.5%, including 38.3% from three-point range) and 1.7 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per outing.  

Zandalasini will wear #9 for the Lynx.
