The Game

While it won’t be easy, the Lynx could clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Aces on Sunday along with an Indiana Fever loss to the Seattle Storm.

If the Lynx were to clinch, it would mark the eighth-straight playoff appearance for Minnesota.

The Lynx are 14-15, seventh in the West – 1.5 games back from the Storm for sixth place, and 0.02 percentage points ahead of the 13-14 Mercury.

The Aces are 19-10 and still have an outside chance at the No. 1 spot, trailing the Mystics and Sun by 1.5 games with five games remaining.

Lynx Connection

Lynx fans probably remember Sugar Rodgers, who the Lynx originally drafted in the second round of the 2013 WNBA Draft. Rodgers only played 7.6 minutes per game that season, but the Lynx won their second WNBA championship.

The Lynx traded Rodgers to the Liberty for a second-round pick that offseason. Rodgers spent five seasons with New York before being traded to the Aces.

In her seventh WNBA season and first in Las Vegas, the guard is averaging 3.3 points in 12.1 minutes per game.

Something You Might Not Have Known…

This seems obvious. The Lynx are better when they allow fewer points. That’s true of all teams.

But this stat is a little wild. When the Lynx allow 80 or more points, they are 1-11 this season.

Considering the Aces are averaging 82.2 points per game, a mark that ranks third in the league, this seems like an important thing.

The Lynx are allowing 75.9 points per contest, the fourth-lowest mark in the WNBA.
