The Minnesota Lynx look to build onto their WNBA-best record when they travel to take on the Chicago Sky on Saturday night in Chicago.

The Lynx come in at 13-1 overall and are in first place in the WNBA standings. The Sky enter at 3-12 on the season and currently sit in 11th place.

Here are a few tidbits as we enter Saturday’s game:

At 13-1 on the season, the Lynx have equaled the best 14-game start to a season in WNBA history (Minnesota – 2012, 2016, Los Angeles – 2016, Houston – 1998).
Minnesota holds a two-game lead over Los Angeles (12-4) for first place in the WNBA standings.
The Lynx enter the game having won four straight games, while the Sky have lost three in a row.

Coming Off Of…

Minnesota is coming off of an 88-77 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday in St. Paul.

Renee Montgomery had a season-high 20 points (4-of-5 from three), four assists, three steals and two assists and Sylvia Fowles had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Lynx. Seimone Augustus had 16 points, five rebounds and three assists, Maya Moore had 10 points, five rebounds and three steals, Plenette Pierson had nine points and five rebounds and Rebekkah Brunson added five points and seven rebounds.

Chicago is coming off of an 89-82 loss to the San Antonio Stars on June 30 in San Antonio.

Allie Quigley had 27 points and four assists and Stefanie Dolson had 14 points to lead the Sky. Tamera Young had 10 points and three steals, Jessica Breland had 10 points and four assists, Cappie Pondexter had nine points and Courtney Vandersloot had six points, nine assists and four rebounds.

Last Matchup

Minnesota holds a 1-0 season series advantage over Chicago this season. The last matchup came on May 14 in St. Paul, when the Lynx won 70-61 in their regular season opener.

In that game, Fowles tallied 26 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three blocks to lead the Lynx. Moore had 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists, Lindsay Whalen had eight points and five assists, Augustus had seven points, five assists and four rebounds and Natasha Howard and Brunson each added five points.

For the Sky, Young led the way with 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Breland had 11 points and 10 rebounds, Dolson had nine points and two blocks, Kahleah Copper had eight points and Imani Boyette had seven points and 12 rebounds.

Saturday’s game is the second of three games between Minnesota and Chicago this season. The third and final game will come on Sept. 1 in St. Paul.

Key Matchup: Maya Moore vs. Allie Quigley

One matchup to watch out for on Saturday comes between Minnesota’s Maya Moore and Chicago’s Allie Quigley.

Moore is having a nice start to the 2017 season, averaging 15.9 points (14th in WNBA), 5.9 rebounds (20th in WNBA), four assists (12th in WNBA) and 1.6 steals (9th in WNBA) per game.

Quigley, in her ninth WNBA season, is averaging 16.4 points (11th in WNBA), 3.1 rebounds and three assists (18th in WNBA) per game.

Injuries

Chicago: Alaina Coates (ankle) and Jamierra Faulkner (ACL) are out.

Minnesota: No injuries to report.
