Preview: Lynx at Aces
The Minnesota Lynx (18-9) are back on the road on Wednesday as they face the Las Vegas Aces (20-8) at Michelob Ultra Arena.
Minnesota is on a hot streak after winning their fifth game in a row on Saturday, defeating the Washington Mystics 93-75. Lynx forward Napheesa Collier led the team with 21 points and nine rebounds in the contest.
Las Vegas is coming off a 92-84 loss against the Chicago Sky on Sunday where Aces guard Kelsey Plum tallied a game-high 23 points. Las Vegas was shorthanded on the court with Liz Cambage (COVID protocol) and Dearica Hamby (ankle) being out.
Both teams have already clinched a spot in the 2021 WNBA Playoffs but are competing for the second seed in hopes of clinching two rounds of playoff byes and home court for the semi-finals. The Aces currently hold a 1.5 game lead in the standings.
This will be the third time the two teams meet during the regular season with Minnesota claiming the first two games.
