Seimone Augustus Injury Update

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx announced that guard Seimone Augustus underwent arthroscopic surgery to address the significant symptoms she’s been experiencing since training camp opened. The procedure was performed by Lynx Head Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Nancy Cummings at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Augustus will be sidelined indefinitely and a further update will be provided when appropriate.

The eight-time All-Star, who has been selected to six straight All-Star Games, is the franchise career leader in games played and started (358), points (5,836), field goals made (2,381), and minutes (10,763) while ranking third in assists (871) and fourth in total rebounds (1,184).

The Lynx play next on Saturday, June 1 as they visit the Dallas Wings at College Park Center. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. CT and the game can be seen on Fox Sports North and heard on BOB 106.1 FM.
