Scouting Report | Lynx at Fever
The Game
The Lynx have had a good week of practice and are ready to fight for their position in the standings over the last 14 games of the 2019 WNBA season.
First up, the Indiana Fever, a team with a ton of talent that hasn’t been able to put it together so far this season. Indiana is 7-15 on the year, but with two All-Stars in Candice Dupree and Erica Wheeler, not to mention talented second-year player Kelsey Mitchell, the Fever have the firepower to win on any given night against anyone in the league.
The Fever have been a bad defensive team this year while the Lynx have been stronger on that side of the ball and weaker on offense. On Saturday, both teams have the opportunity to take advantage of the other—the Lynx need it to be them. They are sitting at 10-10 on the season and currently hold the No. 7 seed (before Friday night’s games). Minnesota plays six of their next eight games on the road and this is a winnable contest.

Lynx Connection
There is a ton of history between Sylvia Fowles and Seimone Augustus and Fever head coach Pokey Chatman. Chatman recruited and coached both players at LSU and Fowles played under Chatman in Chicago as well.
Something Interesting You Might Not Know
Fowles and Wheeler grew up in the same areas of Miami. Both take a ton of pride in where they came from and that was evident at the All-Star Game when Wheeler won the MVP and Fowles gave a shout out to the 305 area code that both grew up in.
