The WNBA’s best rivalry is renewed Saturday night when the Minnesota Lynx (3-5) welcome the Los Angeles Sparks (4-4) to Target Center for the first of three meetings between the two sides this season.

Lynx center Sylvia Fowles is off to one of the hottest starts in her 14-year WNBA career, averaging 17 points and 8.6 rebounds, while shooting 62.8% from the field. Third-year forward Napheesa Collier has continued to develop into one of the WNBA’s top talents, leading Minnesota with 17.4 points per game.

The Sparks are without leading scorer Nneka Ogwumike as well as her sister and fellow starter, Chiney, as both battle knee injuries early in the 2021 campaign. Picking up the slack, Erica Wheeler is averaging 11.1 points per game in her first season in Los Angeles.

Tipoff for Saturday’s contest is set for 7:00 PM Central, with coverage available locally on Bally Sports North.
