Preview: Lynx vs. Mystics
The Minnesota Lynx (17-9) return to Target Center on Saturday night to face the Washington Mystics (10-16).
Minnesota is rolling on a four-game win streak after defeating the Los Angeles Sparks 66-57 on Thursday night. August’s WNBA Player of the Month Sylvia Fowles posted a double-double recording 15 points and 17 rebounds in the contest. The Lynx defense continued to shine on the hardwood by holding the Sparks to only 31.1% from the floor, including just four points in the final frame.
The Washington Mystics faced the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night, falling 85-75. Forward Shatori Walker-Kimbrough tallied a team and season-high 17 points in the game.
The Lynx and Mystics previously met on June 8, with Washington narrowly prevailing 85-81. This will be the first time that Minnesota’s Aerial Powers will face her former team since joining the Lynx in February 2021.
