Preview: Lynx vs. Mystics

The Minnesota Lynx (3-9) return home on Friday to face the Washington Mystics (8-5) at Target Center.

Minnesota fell to the New York Liberty on Tuesday night, 88-69. Lynx guard Kayla McBride posted a team-high 13 points and tallied her 400th career three-pointer in the game. Teammate and guard Aerial Powers contributed 11 points in the competition, while center Sylvia Fowles had 10 points.

Washington took a 84-82 victory over the Chicago Sky on Wednesday night. Mystics guard Ariel Atkins had a game-high 19 points and seven rebounds, while forward Alysha Clark had 18 points.

Minnesota and Washington have already met once this regular season, with the Mystics taking a 78-66 win. The last time the two teams met, Washington was without veteran forwards Alysha Clark and Elena Delle Donne, while Minnesota was without Kayla McBride.

Minnesota announced on Thursday that Sylvia Fowles will be out indefinitely with a cartilage injury in her right knee.

The two teams will meet again on Sunday, July 17th in Washington, DC.
