Preview: Lynx vs. Mystics
The Minnesota Lynx host the Washington Mystics on Sunday night at Target Center in their regular season home opener.
Minnesota opened their 2022 season on Friday night, falling to the Seattle Storm, 97-74. Lynx center Sylvia Fowles scored a team-high 16 points in the competition, while teammate and guard Aerial Powers tallied 14 points.
Washington took a 84-70 victory over the Indiana Fever in their season opener on Friday night. Mystics Forward Elena Delle Donna had a game-high 21 points in the game and guard Natasha Cloud had 17 points, four rebounds and six assists.
Although this is the first time the two teams meet during the regular season, they did face off during the preseason where Washington took the 78-66 victory. Minnesota and Washington will not face each other again until June 10th.
