New York is on a two-game winning streak after defeating the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday night, 79-69. Courtney Vandersloot had a team-high and season-high 23 points, while Breanna Stewart earned a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

This is the second meeting between the two teams this season, and they will meet once more on Saturday, August 26th at Target Center. Minnesota currently leads the series 1-0.

Before tip-off, the Minnesota Lynx will be honoring Lindsay Whalen for her Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Induction. Fans are encouraged to arrive early with the ceremony beginning at 6:20pm. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Lindsay Whalen wall flag.
