Preview: Lynx Take On Sun In Saturday Rematch
The Minnesota Lynx (2-1) look to string together consecutive wins for the first time in 2020 when they take on the Connecticut Sun (0-3) Saturday afternoon. The two sides met previously on Sunday, with Minnesota topping Connecticut, 77-69, behind Sylvia Fowles’s 17-point, 18-rebound performance to open the season.
Napheesa Collier’s double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds lifted the Lynx, 83-81, over Chicago on Thursday night. Damiris Dantas was instrumental in the victory, scoring 14 points and grabbing six rebounds. Rachel Banham added 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
The Sun enters Saturday’s matchup winless through the first week of the 2020 season. Despite the string of losses, DeWanna Bonner is leading the WNBA scoring at a 27.3 points per game clip. Her 82 points rank fifth all-time by player through the first three games of a season, per Elias Sports Bureau.
