Preview: Lynx at Storm

The Minnesota Lynx begin their 2022 season campaign with a Commissioner’s Cup matchup against the Seattle Storm on Friday night.

Minnesota finished their two-game preseason 1-1 after falling to the Washington Mystics 78-66, but defeating the Las Vegas Aces 89-86.

The Lynx signed forward Odyssey Sims on Tuesday, and Friday’s matchup will be the guard’s first game back with Minnesota since the 2020 season.

Seattle went 2-0 in their preseason, most recently taking a 82-78 victory over the Phoenix Mercury. Storm forward Breanna Stewart had a game-high 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the match up.

Friday’s game marks the official beginning of the farewell tour, coined “Syl’s Final Ride”, for Minnesota’s Sylvia Fowles, who will retire following the 2022 season.
