On Saturday night the Minnesota Lynx were in Tulsa looking for their third straight victory. The Shock, despite entering the game on a five -game losing streak, gave the Lynx quite a challenge. The Shock kept the game close the entire way and even managed to shut down Minnesota’s all-world forward Maya Moore; then the fourth quarter came around.
Moore scored 16 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter on 6-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. The game was tied at 71 midway through the fourth when Moore knocked down a huge three-pointer and the Lynx never looked back, going on to beat the Shock 86-80. Lynx forward Tricia Liston added 13 points off the bench and the Lynx improved their league-best record to 15-4. It was a back-and-forth game almost the entire way and there were many great moments throughout. For those that were unable to enjoy such action, here is a photo gallery to show you just a bit of Saturday night’s action.
