MINNEAPOLIS/ST. Minnesota finished 2-3 in the five-game series with the Mercury this season. This year’s postseason meeting will be the fourth time the two clubs have met in the playoffs, also facing off in the 2014 Western Conference Finals (Phoenix won the series, 2-1), the 2013 Western Conference Semifinals (Minnesota won the series, 2-0) and the 2011 Western Conference Finals (Minnesota won the series, 2-0).

The Lynx (22-12) finished the regular season with the second-best overall record in the league, securing homecourt advantage throughout the Western Conference playoffs. The Lynx have put together 127 regular season wins since 2011, which is the second-most-prolific five-year haul in the WNBA history (Los Angeles, 130 games from 2000-04). This season marks the fifth consecutive season the Lynx put together 20+ wins, which is the second longest such stretch in WNBA history (Los Angeles – 6, 1999-2004).
