Minnesota Lynx to Host Game 1 of the WNBA Finals on Sunday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Target Center
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – After finishing a two-game sweep of the Phoenix Mercury with Sunday’s 72-71 win to clinch its fourth Western Conference title, the Minnesota Lynx will host Game 1 of the WNBA Finals presented by Boost Mobile on Sunday, October 4 at Target Center (2 p.m. CT tip) against the Indiana Fever.

Minnesota finished 2-0 against the Fever this season. This year’s postseason meeting will be the second time the two clubs have met in the WNBA Finals, also facing off in the 2012 WNBA Finals. Indiana won the series, 3-1.
The Lynx (22-12) finished the regular season with the second-best overall record in the league, securing homecourt advantage throughout the WNBA Finals against Indiana. Minnesota has put together 127 regular season wins since 2011, the second-most-prolific five-year haul in the WNBA history (Los Angeles, 130 games from 2000-04). This season marks the fifth consecutive season the Lynx put together 20+ wins, which is the second longest such stretch in WNBA history (Los Angeles – 6, 1999-2004).
