Minnesota Lynx to Honor Lindsay Whalen with Postgame Celebration on Sunday, August 19

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx have opened additional inventory in the upper level of Target Center for the team’s final regular season home game against the Washington Mystics on Sunday, August 19 at 6 p.m. The team has experienced rapid ticket sales following the announcement of Lindsay Whalen’s retirement from the WNBA and have opened the additional inventory to meet demand. Fans in attendance are encouraged to stay after the game for an on-court celebration honoring the career of Whalen.

Sunday is also Fan Appreciation Night presented by Star Tribune. There will be moments throughout the night thanking fans for their support and the first 2,500 ticket holders through the doors will get a team poster. All fans in attendance will receive a commemorative Lindsay Whalen card and have a chance to get an autograph from mascot Prowl in the arena’s atrium from 5:15-5:45 p.m.
