MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced that the team has officially clinched its spot in the Commissioner’s Cup Championship, representing the Western Conference in the WNBA’s annual in-season tournament presented by Coinbase. As the team with the highest win percentage in Cup play, Minnesota will host the championship game on Tuesday, July 1 vs. Indiana Fever.

Tickets for the Commissioner’s Cup Championship will go on sale TUESDAY, JUNE 24 at 12:00 p.m. CT at www.lynxbasketball.com/tickets or by calling 612-673-8400.

The back-to-back Commissioner’s Cup Final appearances marks a first in franchise history. Minnesota won the 2024 Commissioner’s Cup Championship beating the New York Liberty with Lynx forward Napheesa Collier named Commissioner’s Cup MVP.

Minnesota concluded 2025 Commissioner’s Cup play with a 5-1 record against conference opponents in games played from June 1-17. With the addition of the Golden State Valkyries this season, every team played one game against each of the other teams in its respective conference – a total of five games for each of the six Eastern Conference teams and six games for each of the seven Western Conference teams.

Minnesota tallied Commissioner’s Cup play wins against the Golden State Valkyries (86-75), Phoenix Mercury (88-65), Dallas Wings (81-65), Los Angeles Sparks (101-78) and Las Vegas Aces (76-62). The team’s single loss was against Seattle (94-84).

Continuing the WNBA’s tradition of utilizing the Commissioner’s Cup as a platform for social impact, teams across the league are partnering with local community organizations to drive meaningful change. Through Commissioner’s Cup play, Minnesota has accumulated $16,000 donation dollars for the ACLU of Minnesota, the team’s selected Commissioner’s Cup nonprofit. Founded in 1952 as the Minnesota Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU of Minnesota works to promote, protect and extend the civil liberties and civil rights of people in Minnesota through litigation, lobbying and community engagement.

The Lynx currently lead the league with an 11-1 record, opening the season with the franchise’s best start since the 2017 season. The team leads the WNBA in assists (24.5 APG), field goal percentage (47.5%), and three-point percentage (38.7%) and second in points (85.9 PPG) and blocks (5.0 BPG) per game. The Minnesota squad includes the league's scoring leader, Collier, who is averaging 26.1 points per contest, and also ranks second in steals (2.2 SPG), fourth in blocks (1.6) and fifth in rebounds (8.8) per game.

The Lynx host the Los Angeles Sparks Saturday, June 21 with tipoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on FanDuel Sports Network North and can be heard on KFAN-FM 100.3 and the iHeart Radio/Lynx app.
