Minnesota Lynx Forward Napheesa Collier Named Kia WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The WNBA today named Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier Western Conference Player of the Month for June. This marks Collier’s second Player of the Month honor this season and the third of her career, making her the third player in franchise history to receive the award three or more times (Maya Moore – 8, Sylvia Fowles – 4).
Through 13 games this season, the Jefferson City, Mo. native is averaging a WNBA-leading 24.4 points per game on 52.5% shooting, including 39.6% from the three-point line, along with 8.5 rebounds, a career-high 3.7 assists, 1.8 steals and a career-best 1.5 blocks per game. Collier ranks first in the WNBA in efficiency (28.9), as well as third in rebounds (8.5 rpg), fourth in blocks (1.5 bpg), fifth in steals (1.8 spg) and seventh in field goal percentage (52.5%).
Collier recorded one 30+ point and five 20+ point games throughout the month and leads the league with three 30+ point games this season. She has notched five double-doubles this season, three of which came in June, including one 30+ point/10+ rebound game and two 20+ point/10+ rebound games.
In addition, Collier was recently named a captain for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, becoming just the second Lynx player to earn the title (Sylvia Fowles, 2022) and the fifth in franchise history to be selected to five or more All-Star Games.
Highlights from Collier’s month include:
June 14 vs. Los Angeles: Recorded a career-high 26 first-half points, finishing with 32 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two blocks on the night. Collier shot 81.3% from the floor (13-of-16), 75.0% from the three-point line (3-of-4) and 100% from the charity stripe (3-of-3) in Minnesota’s 101-78 win over the Sparks.
June 8 vs. Dallas: Stuffed the stat sheet in Minnesota’s 81-65 win over Dallas with 28 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks. Collier posted her fifth consecutive double-double performance, and the 51st of her career.
June 1 vs. Golden State: Posted a game-high 11 rebounds and 24 points on 8-of-18 shooting in the Lynx 86-75 win against the Valkyries. Collier also dished out four assists, two steals and a block in the team’s first meeting with the expansion franchise.
