For third consecutive year, every home game to be made available
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx announced their broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2019 WNBA season and for the third consecutive year, every home game will be made available for viewing. Fans can catch all 17 regular season Lynx home games on either FOX Sports North, FOX Sports GO, ESPN2, ABC, CBS Sports Network or Twitter.
FOX Sports North, celebrating its 21st year as a partner in broadcasting Lynx basketball, will broadcast a total of 19 games this season, 15 at home and four on the road. This year marks the ninth consecutive season that Marney Gellner will serve as the television play-by-play announcer and Lea B. Olsen returns for her 11th campaign as the Lynx television analyst.
In addition to the games aired locally, the Lynx will be nationally televised on ESPN2 for three games and on ABC once. ABC will broadcast the Minnesota vs. Los Angeles on June 8, when the Lynx will retire Lindsay Whalen’s jersey number. ESPN2’s Lynx schedule starts with Minnesota at Connecticut on July 6. Twitter will stream two Lynx road games (June 4 at Seattle and August 6 at Atlanta).
In April, the WNBA and CBS Sports announced a multi-year partnership in which CBS Sports Network will carry games beginning with the 2019 season. CBS Sports Network will feature national coverage of 40 live games in primetime and on weekends, including six Lynx contests, beginning on Saturday, May 25 (7:00 PM, CT) when Minnesota hosts the Chicago Sky in its season opener.
Fans can also listen to every game on the team’s flagship radio station, 106.1 BOB FM, and the Lynx Radio Network. Sloane Martin will serve as the team’s new radio play-by-play voice this season.
