MINNEAPOLIS and ST. PAUL – Minnesota Lynx legend Maya Moore Irons, along with her husband Jonathan Irons, participated in a community conversation on Friday night, as part of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx “Pack the Vote” platform.

Moderated by Elizer Darris, Founder and CEO of the Darris Group, Moore Irons and Jonathan, an author and social justice advocate, joined fellow panelists Antonio Williams, Founder & Co-Executive Director of T.O.N.E. U.P. Inc, and Paul Sullivan, Organizer for ACLU Minnesota for an evening of inspired and informative conversation. Focused on the importance of voting, the panel discussed the real power of local engagement and the impact that local government and policies have on individuals and communities.

“I tried to get educated and use my voice in a responsible way,” said Moore Irons. “Just because we have a voice doesn’t mean we have to talk all the time. Let’s use our voice because we have something good to offer.”

The Timberwolves and Lynx “Pack the Vote” platform is an ongoing annual initiative to help Timberwolves and Lynx fans, and the greater Twin Cities community stay informed about local and national elections, provide educational and bipartisan voter resources and encourage individuals to have their voices heard at the polls.
