On June 5, the Minnesota Lynx kicked of their season with a big win over the Tulsa Shock.

The Lynx weren’t the only winners that night, though. The Lynx Foundation presented a $5,000 grant to Pay It Forward Fund, a non-profit organization that helps patients pay their bills while they undergo treatment for breast and women’s cancer. They pay essential living expenses so patients can turn their focus to what’s really important – getting healthy.

Pay It Forward Fund was founded in 2005 by Michelle Morey, a breast cancer survivor, and her husband Scott Bissen.

The check was presented to Morey and Bissen via Lynx President Chris Wright.
