Lynx Go For Two-In-A-Row Against Mercury

The Minnesota Lynx (10-4) meet the Phoenix Mercury (8-7) on the hardwood in Bradenton, Fla on Sunday night.

On Friday night, Odyssey Sims and the Lynx defeated the Atlanta Dream 88-79 behind Sims’  near triple-double of 17 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists off the bench. Most Valuable Player candidate Napheesa Collier posted 19 points in addition to 12 rebounds in the victory, her fifth double-double of the season.

Phoenix, meanwhile, is on a two-game winning streak after beating the Washington Mystics 94-72 on Friday night. Mercury guard Skylar Diggins-Smith had a game-high 24 points to go with six assists in the matchup, while Alanna Smith netted 14 points and eight rebounds as a reserve.

The Lynx and Mercury have already met once this year, with Minnesota claiming a 90-80 win, marking 14 triumphs in the teams’ last 15 regular season meetings.
