Make that two wins in a row for the Minnesota Lynx.

The Lynx moved to 6-5 on the season after their 78-74 win over the Fever in Indiana on Tuesday night.

In what is a wild WNBA this season, the Lynx are just three games back from first place in the league.

The Lynx led by as much as 21 points. You can look at this one of two ways. Or both, I guess, which is probably the right answer. The Lynx came out fast and furious, but didn’t leave their foot on the gas long enough. Give the Fever credit, too, especially after a travel nightmare to even make it back home.

This win had a lot to do with Minnesota’s shooting guard. Odyssey Sims led the way for the Lynx with 25 points, although she shot just 8-for-21 from the field. She did, however, get to the free-throw line eight times and made all eight of them. Sims also added seven assists, seven rebounds and five steals.

Rookie Napheesa Collier continues to look like a veteran, finishing with 16 points and four rebounds while shooting an efficient 5-for-9 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line. Damiris Dantas’ excellence from deep continues. The big finished with 15 points, nine coming from the 3-point line. Sylvia Fowles pitched in with nine points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.

We’ll have more on Sims later, but she’s having an incredible season, and should be representing the Lynx in Las Vegas next month at the All-Star Game.

While the Lynx turned the ball over 17 times, they also forced 17 turnovers. So, I guess that evens out? Both of these teams were remarkable from the free-throw line. The Lynx were 17-for-19, while the Fever was 11-for-13.

Indiana was led by Kelsey Mitchell’s 17 points. Erica Wheeler added 13. Rookie Teaira McCowan and Natalie Achonwa rounded things out with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Lynx stay on the road to play the Wings in Dallas on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. on Fox Sports North Plus and 106.1 BOB FM. While it’s an extremely winnable game considering the Wings have won just two games, the Lynx beat the Wings by just three points back on June 1. Nothing is easy in this league.
