Lynx Honor Sandra Best

On July 6 as the Minnesota Lynx took on the Los Angeles Sparks at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, the team honored Brigadier General Sandra Best as part of the team’s Inspiring Women Platform presented by Land O’Lakes.

Best is the first general officer in the Minnesota National Guard. She began her military career in 1984, was commissioned in 1991 and deployed to Afghanistan in 2008. Currently, she serves as the Chief of Staff for the Minnesota Air National Guard.

As part of the Lynx Inspiring Women Platform, presented by Land O’Lakes, the Lynx honor women throughout Minnesota who inspire, motivate and encourage others through their personal and professional leadership.

Before the game, Best was honored with a signed basketball at midcourt by Vice President of Lynx Basketball Operations Carley Knox and Lydia Bothman of Land O’Lakes.

Congratulations, Sandra, and thank you!
