Preview: Lynx at Sun

The Minnesota Lynx (14-21) head east for their regular season finale against the Connecticut Sun (24-11) on Sunday afternoon.

Minnesota fell to the Seattle Storm on Friday night, 96-69. Lynx guard Aerial Powers was the team’s leading scorer of the night with 18 points. Veteran center Sylvia Fowles earned a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, her 100th double-double in a Minnesota jersey.

Connecticut is on a two-game win streak after defeating the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday night, 93-69. Sun forward Alyssa Thomas had 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the competition.

This is the third and final matchup between the two teams, which Connecticut leading the series 2-0.

Connecticut has already clinched a spot in the WNBA Playoffs, and Minnesota could claim one of the final spots with a win and a loss by either New York or Phoenix.
