Preview: Lynx at Sparks

The Minnesota Lynx (11-19) face the Los Angeles Sparks (12-16) in the second game of their three-game road trip.

Minnesota is coming off a 92-85 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night. Lynx guard Aerial Powers had a game-high 25 points, while teammate and veteran center Sylvia Fowles posted her 11th double-double of the season with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Los Angeles is on a two-game losing streak after falling to the Phoenix Mercury 90-80 on Thursday night. Sparks guard Chennedy Carter was the team’s leading scorer with 23 points. Veteran forward Nneka Ogwumike earned a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

This is the third and final matchup between the two teams this season. The series is currently split 1-1 with Minnesota taking the first game 87-84, and Los Angeles taking the second game 85-83. This will be Minnesota’s first time playing Los Angeles since the Sparks’ recent contract divorce with center Liz Cambage.
