The Minnesota Lynx (13-20) hit the road again to face the Phoenix Mercury (14-19) on Wednesday night.
Minnesota is coming off an 81-71 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Sunday night. Lynx guard Kayla McBride led the team with 20 points along with six assists and four rebounds. Minnesota forward Napheesa Collier tallied six points, two rebounds and one assist in her season debut.
Phoenix defeated the New York Liberty on Saturday, 76-62. Mercury guard Diamond Deshields had a game-high 25 points while teammate and forward Shey Peddy had 20 points and seven rebounds in the competition. Veteran guard Diana Taurasi is out for the rest of the season due to a right quad injury.
Wednesday’s matchup is the fourth and final time Minnesota and Phoenix will meet this season, with Minnesota leading the series 3-0.
Phoenix is currently sitting in the seventh spot in the WNBA league standings, while Minnesota sits in the ninth spot, trailing by just one game for the eighth and final playoff spot.
