The Minnesota Lynx (0-1) look to rebound from Friday’s heartbreaker when they visit the New York Liberty (2-0) Tuesday evening at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Minnesota fell 77-75  to the Phoenix Mercury on Opening Night in bizarre fashion following an accidental clock-stoppage in the final seconds of regulation. Newcomer Aerial Powers led the Lynx with 18 points in the defeat, leading a second-half comeback. Fresh off her return from Europe, fellow new addition Kayla McBride added 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting. 2020 WNBA Rookie of the Year Crystal Dangerfield poured in 17 points and four assists in the loss.

The New York Liberty are off to an undefeated start to 2021 following back-to-back, home-and-road victories over the Indiana Fever. 2020 No. 1 overall draft pick Sabrina Ionescu picked up right where she left off after missing the final 19 games of last season, scoring 25 points and dishing out 11 assists on Opening Night to lift the Libs to victory over Indiana. Free-agent addition and 2020 WNBA Most Improved Player Betnijah Laney led New York with 20 points in their second victory over the Fever.

Tuesday’s matchup marks the Lynx’s first-ever visit to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Game coverage is available via the ESPN App on most streaming devices.
