The Minnesota Lynx were in Washington taking on the Mystics on Sunday afternoon. It was the first meeting this season between the two teams and it didn’t end very well for the Lynx. The Lynx fell to Washington 77-69, despite double-doubles from both guard Lindsay Whalen and center Sylvia Fowles. Fowles finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Whalen finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lynx swept the Mystics in two games last season but are now in danger of being swept when the two teams meet again on Wednesday.
Despite the loss, there were still many great moments in last night’s game and many highlights for both teams. Here are some of the best photo’s from last night’s action in this game’s photo gallery.

Lynx guard Seimone Augustus, playing in just her second game back from a knee injury, struggled against the Mystics, scoring just four points and grabbing three rebounds in 23 minutes of playing time.

Mystics guard Natasha Cloud had a quiet night in Washington’s victory, finishing with just two points, three rebounds and two assists.

Mystics center Stefanie Dolson scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Washington’s win over the Lynx.

Lynx center Sylvia Fowles had a great game against the Mystics notching a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 1 rebounds.

Mystics guard Tayler Hill struggled off the bench for Washington, scoring just five points on 1-of-7 (14 percent) shooting.

Guard Ivory Latta had a game-high 20 points for the Mystics. Latta also added three points, two assists and two steals off the bench for Washington.

Mystics guard Kara Lawson had a solid game against the Lynx, finishing with 15 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Lynx guard Lindsay Whalen had a great game against Washington, notching a double-double and finishing with 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in the loss.

Lynx forward Maya Moore had a quiet game against the Mystics…well, quiet by her standards. Moore finished with just 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Lynx guard Tricia Liston came off the bench to provide quality minutes for Minnesota. Liston finished with 11 points on 4-of-6 (66 percent) shooting in just 17 minutes off the bench.
