Napheesa Collier Adds To Impressive Resume

Add another achievement to Napheesa Collier’s resume.

On Tuesday, the WNBA announced that the Minnesota Lynx forward was voted to the League’s All-Defensive Second Team. Collier becomes the fifth Lynx player to make an All-Defensive Team, joining a franchise list that includes teammate Sylvia Fowles, assistant coach Rebekkah Brunson, and Maya Moore.

A deserved placed alongside an elite list of defensive stalwarts, No. 24 finished fourth overall in the WNBA in blocks with 28, finishing just behind WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, Brianna Turner and Elizabeth Williams. Additionally, Collier finished as the League’s second-leading rebounder with 199 boards and second overall in steals with 40.

With injuries impacting Minnesota’s roster, the Lynx needed the 2019 Rookie of the Year to step up, and Collier did just that – making a two-way impact during the season.
