Minnesota Lynx Sign Guard Yvonne Anderson

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed guard Yvonne Anderson to a seven-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Anderson, a 5-7 guard, most recently represented Serbia at FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2025 where she led the team in scoring and assists, averaging 14.5 points and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 50.0% from the floor. Anderson tallied 16 points against Italy on June 18, shooting 6-of-11 (54.5%) from the floor while also adding five assists, four rebounds and two steals in the contest.

The guard played in the Turkish KBSL and EuroLeague with CBK Mersin during the 2024-25 season, where she averaged 15.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.5 steals in 22 KBSL games this season, helping the team clinch a Turkish Cup title and reach the league final. During the 2023-24 season, Anderson was a member of Turkish club, Fenerbahçe, where she helped the team to a Turkish League Championship, a EuroLeague Championship and a FIBA Europe SuperCup title.

A two-time Olympian, Anderson has been playing with the Serbian National Team since 2017 and helped lead the team to a 2024 Paris Olympics berth, where she led all scorers (19.3 ppg) at the 2024 FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Brazil. The Columbia, Mo. native also competed with Serbia in the 2021 EuroBasket Championships, winning gold and at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Anderson made her WNBA debut with the Connecticut Sun in 2022, appearing in 11 games and averaging 3.2 points on 46.2% shooting from the floor, also adding 1.1 assists and 0.8 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game.

The Lynx will continue their homestand with a game against the New York Liberty on July 30 at 7:00 p.m. in Target Center.
