Minnesota Lynx Sign Courtney Williams
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced the signing of forward Courtney Williams. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Williams, a 6-1 forward, averaged 12.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in her senior campaign with Texas A&M. She was named Second Team All-SEC by the league’s coaches for the third consecutive season. Williams finished her collegiate career with the Aggies ranked fourth among active SEC players in career points, third in field goals made and seventh in rebounds. She finished with career averages of 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds.
The first chance fans have to see Minnesota’s roster is the team’s preseason contest at Mayo Civic Center in Rochester on Sunday, May 8 at 4 p.m. vs. the Washington Mystics.
