MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL –The Minnesota Lynx today announced that the team has acquired the 2023 first and second round picks from the Las Vegas Aces in exchange for Minnesota’s eighth and 13th overall (acquired from the Indiana Fever) picks in this year’s WNBA draft.
“We believe this year’s draft is a good draft, however, with the players that we currently have under contract and the limited roster space remaining, we made the decision to turn our attention to future opportunities,” said Head Coach and General Manager Cheryl Reeve.
Minnesota now has two draft picks in the 2022 WNBA Draft, which include the 22nd overall (10th pick in the second round) and 28th overall (fourth pick in the third round). The draft will be televised live tomorrow, Monday, April 11 on ESPN beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT.
