Maya Moore Named Performer Of The Year At SI Sportsperson Of The Year Awards
On Tuesday night, Lynx forward Maya Moore was named the Sports Illustrated Performer of the Year.
In 2017, Moore helped the Lynx capture their fourth WNBA Championship. During the season, she averaging 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and three assists per game while shooting a career-high 41.1 percent from the 3-point line.
“It’s extra special … to be representing for the WNBA and to know that people are paying attention and recognizing the excellence that we’re seeing in the WNBA, coming off this amazing WNBA Finals,” Moore told WNBA.com at the event.
