Lynx Waive Center Alaina Coates

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx announced the team has waived center Alaina Coates.

Coates appeared in 14 games this season with the Lynx, averaging 2.5 points on 48.4% shooting, 2.4 rebounds and 0.3 blocks in 6.5 minutes per game. Her top game this season came on July 2 against Atlanta when she set a career-high with 10 points while adding nine rebounds. Coates was acquired via a trade with Chicago on May 24, 2019.
