Lynx to Host Native American Heritage Night Presented by Treasure Island Resort & Casino on Friday, July 31
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced that they will host Native American Heritage Night presented by Treasure Island Resort & Casino and the Prairie Island Indian Community on Friday, July 31 when they take on the Atlanta Dream.
The night includes a halftime performance by the Prairie Island Indian Community Dancers and Drummers and a postgame Q&A session with Dream guard and 2014 WNBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player, Shoni Schimmel. The eighth pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft, Schimmel is the first Native American to play in the WNBA.
