Lynx Sign Forward Megan Huff

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – Minnesota Lynx Head Coach and General Manager Cheryl Reeve announced the team has signed forward Megan Huff. It was also announced today that forward Cecilia Zandalasini will miss the 2020 season (non-active, personal decision). 

Huff, a 6-3 forward from Federal Way, Wash., was selected by New York in the third round (26th overall) of the 2019 WNBA Draft. The University of Utah graduate spent the 2019-20 winter season playing in Latvia for TTT Riga where she averaged 11.0 ppg9.2 rpg and 1.3 apg in 13 EuroLeague appearances. In two seasons at Utah, Huff became a 1,000-point scorer while also being named a two-time first-team All-Pac-12 selection. She averaged 17.2 ppg, 8.8 rpg and 1.5 apg in 59 contests, hitting 49.0% from the floor (37.5% from three-point range) and 81.1% from the free throw line. 

Zandalasini, 23, a WNBA Champion in 2017 with Minnesota, most recently played with the Lynx during the 2018 season, where she saw action in 29 games (six starts) and averaged 5.7 ppg, 1.9 rpg and 1.1 apg in 16.5 mpg, shooting 40.9% from the floor, 38.3% (23-for-60) from three-point range and 84.0% from the free throw line. Her season was highlighted by her performance on June 16, 2018 vs. New York where she finished with a career-high 13 points (one of six double-figure efforts), adding a career-best three steals.
