Lynx Look To Stay Hot Versus Sky
After clinching a postseason berth, the Minnesota Lynx (11-5) take on the Chicago Sky (11-6) on Wednesday night at IMG Academy.
Minnesota is looking for back-to-back victories after a big 96-78 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Monday night. Lynx forward Napheesa Collier was the leader the team needed with 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Rachel Banham put on an impressive show off the bench, shooting a perfect 6-for-6 from the field to score 18 points in the game.
Chicago bounced back on Monday night after a two-game losing streak by defeating the Indiana Fever, 100-77. Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot had a historic night, breaking the WNBA single-game assist record with 18 in the game. Kahleah Copper and Gabby Williams each scored a game-high 21 points in the victory.
After an Indiana Fever loss to the Atlanta Dream Tuesday night, both Minnesota and Chicago qualified for the 2020 WNBA Playoffs. The last time Lynx and Sky met, Minnesota took a close 83-81 victory behind Napheesa Collier’s 20 points and 10 rebounds.
