Lynx Honor Three University Of Minnesota Women’s Hockey Players

During the team’s May 23 win over the Connecticut Sun, the Minnesota Lynx, along with Land O’Lakes, honored three players from the University of Minnesota women’s hockey team as part of the Inspiring Women Platform.

Winners honoring winners. Seems fitting.

The players honored were Dani Cameranesi, Kelly Pannek and Lee Stecklein. Those three were selected to join the 23 player roster for the U.S. women’s national team and will being training this fall in preparation for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. Those three also helped lead the Gophers into the NCAA Women’s Frozen Four for a remarkable sixth-straight year.

The Inspiring Women Platform honors women throughout the state who inspire, motivate and encourage others through their personal and professional leadership.

Representing the group was assistant captain Dani Cameranesi. She was honored at the Xcel Energy Center by Vice President of Lynx Business Operations Carley Knox along with Lydia Bothman and Peter Janzen of Land O’Lakes. She was presented with a team signed basketball and the Inspiring Women Commemorative Award.
