The Minnesota Lynx honored Susan Moores, creator of Roots for the Home Team, at their home game against the Indiana Fever on Friday, May 27th, as a part of the Lynx Inspiring Women platform presented by Land O’Lakes.

This non-profit helps multi-cultural youth believe in their futures through a salad enterprise they run at sports venues.

Kids from around the Minneapolis metro create salad recipes based on the foods they grow in their garden program.

The kids are then employed by Roots to sell the salads at Target Field on Minnesota Twins’ weekend home games and through other outlets.

Be sure to stop by and taste the salads and other healthy goodies the Roots will be selling at Gate 34 inside Target Field on June 4-5th, 11-12th, 18-19th.
