MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has cleared guard Aerial Powers and in a subsequent move, released forward Nikolina Milić from her hardship exception.

Powers, 5-11, missed Minnesota’s last contest against Atlanta on August 7 due to soreness in her left knee. The 6-year player has played in 32 games (30 starts) for the Lynx and holds averages of 14.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 27.1 minutes per game this season.

Milić, a 6-3 rookie, was originally signed by Minnesota on May 6 to a hardship exception contract, then released on June 23 and signed to a seven-day contract on June 26. Milić was re-signed to a second seven-day contract on July 3 and a third seven-day contract on July 11. On July 18, Milić was signed to a rest of season contract.
