Evening includes WNBA President Lisa Borders and explorer Ann Bancroft
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx will host the first annual We Are Women Night presented by Dove on Sunday, August 28, prior to the Lynx vs. Seattle Storm game at Target Center. We Are Women Night includes a series of events to celebrate the empowerment of girls and women throughout Minnesota.
The night begins with a panel in the Target Center arena at 2:30 p.m., with panel members including WNBA President Lisa Borders, world renowned explorer Ann Bancroft, Land O’Lakes Group Executive VP and COO Beth Ford, Minneapolis Star Tribune Sports Reporter Rachel Blount and Target Senior VP Merchandising Transformation and Operations Christina Hennington. The panel will be moderated by Dove Self-Esteem Educator Dre Brown and Minnesota Lynx Director of Business Operations Carley Knox.
Following the panel, the girls in attendance will participate in a Dove Self-Esteem Workshop. Via the Dove Self-Esteem Project, experts deliver self-esteem education to young people to help them build confidence and reach their full potential. For more than 10 years, Dove has been helping young people with self-esteem education, reaching 19 million girls thus far. Adults will be hosted for a networking happy hour at Kieran’s.

The ongoing initiative encourages women and girls to realize the role online words play in impacting their confidence and self-esteem.
