Lynx President of Business Operations Carley Knox to serve as 2024 Twin Cities Pride Grand Marshal

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx will celebrate Pride Night on Saturday, June 22 when the team hosts the Phoenix Mercury at Target Center (tipoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT). The annual night will include in-arena entertainment and recognition of individuals and partners who are dedicated to elevating, advocating and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.

“This is a special night, and one we look forward to celebrating every year,” said Lynx President of Business Operations Carley Knox. “It’s an opportunity to recognize and celebrate LGBTQ+ leaders and nonprofits in our community, while bringing awareness to current barriers and discrimination. While this is one evening of celebration, we are committed year-round to advocating for all marginalized groups.”

In celebration of Pride Night, the Lynx partnered with local artist Nell Tryst to create a limited-edition shirt that will be worn on court by the players and staff and sold in the Team Store.

Tryst is a full-time multidisciplinary painter and muralist. She is most known for her bold murals and use of anatomical hearts on the walls of galleries and alleyways of Minneapolis. She uses a combination of aerosol and acrylic paint for extreme color contrast and dynamic expression through texture.

Fans can shop the Pride Night shirt and a matching hat in the Lynx Team Store, a Fanatics experience, outside Section 136 at Saturday’s game.
