Lynx Announce Sylvia Fowles Altruism Award Recipient for 2025 Season
Annual award recognizes a team member who best embodies altruistic traits and giving back to the community
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced Natisha Hiedeman as the 2025 recipient of the Sylvia Fowles Altruism Award.
Acquired by Minnesota in 2024, Hiedeman has been an integral part of the communities she serves, while demonstrating exceptional skill and character on the court. This season, Hiedeman has visited young patients at the Mayo Clinic and volunteered at the Animal Humane Society, contributing to efforts that reflect her commitment to compassion and kindness within the greater community.
“Natisha brings unwavering dedication to her teammates, the Lynx organization and our broader community every single day,” said Minnesota Lynx Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Cheryl Reeve. “Much like Syl, she leads with heart, through kindness, authenticity, joy and a deep sense of selflessness. Her presence and leadership have been vital to our success this season, on and off the court. T embodies the values that define our culture here in Minnesota, and we’re proud to recognize her with the 2025 Sylvia Fowles Altruism Award.”
The annual award, named for Lynx legend Sylvia Fowles, recognizes a Lynx player who best embodies the altruistic traits of kindness, selflessness and overall regard for the well-being of others throughout the community. The recipient is selected by a committee of staff and players, and Bridget Carleton was named the award’s recipient in 2024.
