Luther Automotive Group Joins Growing Lynx Changemakers Platform as Latest Partner

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced Luther Automotive Group as the latest partner to join the Lynx Changemakers platform. As an official Lynx Changemaker, Luther Automotive is part of a unique program working to combine purpose-driven activation with direct financial support of local organizations committed to fostering gender equity and building the next generation of leaders through the power of sports.
The partnership marks the first time Luther Automotive has partnered with a professional women’s sports team. Additionally, Luther Automotive’s singular commitment to the Lynx, is an intentional move as more companies look to support women’s sports in meaningful ways. Current Lynx Changemakers include: Target, Pentair, nVent, Hy-Vee, Starkey, U.S. Bank, Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) and Luther Automotive as the eighth named partner.
The Lynx Changemakers platform features two signature events throughout the calendar year: the annual Lynx Changemakers Summit in August which brings together executives, employee resource group (ERG) leaders, and professional athletes to share inspirational stories and discuss the future development of leaders, and the Lynx Changemakers Executive Roundtable with Changemaker partners.
The Lynx Changemakers platform is designed to transcend traditional sponsorship and pave the way for major local companies or individuals to invest in women’s sports in a new way. By combining purpose-driven activation with direct financial support of local organizations, the Minnesota business community will have the opportunity to collectively showcase their commitment to fostering gender equity and women’s leadership through the power of sports. The team-level program is modeled after the WNBA’s successful league-level platform launched in 2020.
The Lynx will spotlight Changemaker partners at the annual Lynx Changemakers Night on Tuesday, June 3 when the team hosts the Phoenix Mercury (tipoff 7:00 p.m. CT).
