MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced that an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) taken in Bradenton, Florida revealed that Lynx forward Karima Christmas-Kelly has a ruptured right Achilles Tendon. Christmas-Kelly, who will see a foot and ankle specialist as she evaluates her options, will miss the remainder of the season. Further updates as to her progress will be issued when more information becomes available.
The injury occurred during last night’s 90-66 loss to the Seattle Storm.
In her 10th WNBA season, Christmas-Kelly holds career averages of 7.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 22.9 minutes per game.
